A deeper connection to the forest
Organic Flows I is the second work in my evolving Organic Flows series, continuing my exploration of nature’s elements, changing seasons and the subtle shifts of the Nordic landscape.
While the organic and sculptural language connects the work to the first painting in the series, the balance of colour begins to change. Green moves further into the foreground, strengthening the connection to woodland, vegetation and the living natural world.
For me, the forest – like the sea – carries a particular sense of presence. The softness of moss, the scent of pine needles and resin, and the experience of being surrounded by vegetation are impressions that remain in my visual memory. In Organic Flows I, these sensations are not depicted literally, but transformed through colour, texture and flowing organic forms.
Water, earth and woodland remain part of the visual language of the series, while colour becomes a way of expressing the changing character of nature. Each work develops its own balance between these elements, allowing the series to evolve through shifts in season, light and atmosphere.
