This spring, artist Ewa Borin embarks on a unique collaboration with the iconic and prestigious department store Nordiska Kompaniet (NK). The partnership launches on May 7, during NK’s grand Summer Party and Key Evening, where Borin will unveil her new collection Composition Noir – three limited-edition series, available exclusively at NK Bookstore, Level 4.
– "This collection carries a timeless elegance that echoes NK’s rich history. I’m truly excited to present my work in such a symbolic setting," says Ewa Borin.
The artworks will be available for purchase starting May 7 at NK Bookstore.
What does NK mean to you?
– "To me, NK is a place full of inspiration. They have an amazing ability to stay in tune with the times while honoring their legacy. I highly recommend the book 'Nordens Paris' by Susanna Strömquist – it explores NK’s French women’s tailoring department from 1902 to 1966, a fascinating part of Swedish fashion history."
What’s next?
– "I’m exploring several creative ideas centered around style, expression, and design. Some exciting collaborations are on the horizon, along with personal projects – more info to come!"
– "I also want to build international bridges and work with art in a broader context. I love the idea of a world connected through collaboration and culture. Using art to amplify important messages – especially around climate and environmental issues – resonates deeply with me. When many voices join forces, the message becomes stronger, and truly reaches people."
