Reijmyre Glasbruk 2023
A dialogue between painting, glass, colour and form
In November 2023, I presented a selection of my paintings at Reijmyre Glasbruk's showroom in Stockholm, including works from my evolving Organic Flows series.
The exhibition was created as a dialogue between my paintings and Reijmyre's art glass. Rather than simply placing the works side by side, we explored how colour, form and material could interact – allowing the paintings and the sculptural qualities of the glass to enhance one another.
Reijmyre brought an exceptional eye for colour and form to the presentation. Their glass pieces found natural connections with the colours, movement and organic shapes in my paintings, creating a dialogue between two different artistic expressions.

Organic Flows – nature transformed
The Organic Flows series is inspired by the elements and rhythms of nature and by the colours and subtle shifts of the Nordic landscape.
Water, earth and woodland, together with the changing seasons, are recurring sources of inspiration. Rather than depicting nature literally, I explore these impressions through colour, texture and organic, sculptural forms.
The palette of the Organic Flows works reflects impressions gathered from nature – from water and forest to earth, autumn leaves and the changing Nordic light. These associations are transformed into an abstract language of colour, movement and form.

Reijmyre Glasbruk – a tradition of craftsmanship
Founded in 1810, Reijmyre Glasbruk is one of Sweden's oldest glassworks still in operation. Its long tradition of craftsmanship and distinctive approach to coloured glass, form and design created an inspiring setting for the exhibition.
The relationship between craftsmanship, colour and sculptural form made the glass a natural counterpart to the paintings – different materials and traditions meeting through a shared sensitivity to visual expression.
An evening of art, glass, wine and chocolate
The evening extended the dialogue between colour, form and craftsmanship beyond painting and glass. A carefully curated wine and chocolate tasting brought another sensory dimension to the exhibition.
Wine writer Amanda G Stöckel guided the guests through selected wines, paired with handcrafted chocolates by Cecilia Nordström. Beautiful in both colour and form, the chocolates became part of the visual experience – almost like small works of art in themselves – presented together with glassware from Reijmyre.
Together, painting, art glass, wine and chocolate created an evening where different forms of craftsmanship, creativity and sensory experience could meet.
