Space Flower – Original Oil Painting

Blue harmony, blue dimension, blue love, blue life – True Blue!

Space Flower is an expressive oil painting built through layers of colour, movement and texture. I work intuitively, using palette knives, brushes, fabric, my hands and whatever tools best translate the idea and emotion I want to convey.

Experimenting with materials and techniques is an important part of my creative process. Layer upon layer creates depth and an almost three-dimensional quality, allowing the surface itself to become part of the painting's expression.

During the creative process, one of my sharp palette knives created a tear in the canvas. Rather than concealing it, I chose to let it remain as part of the artwork and its history. The tear is documented on the reverse of the canvas.
