Meet Hera

Hera (Greek: Ἥρα, Hērā; Ἥρη, Hērē in Ionic and Homeric Greek) is the goddess of women, marriage, family and childbirth in ancient Greek religion and mythology. One of the Twelve Olympians and the wife of Zeus, Hera rules over Mount Olympus as queen of the gods.

A majestic and powerful figure, Hera was associated with marriage and served as a protector of married women and marital unions.

In this artwork, I have worked with ink, pencil and watercolor, creating a special pearlescent shimmering effect that gives the painting depth and luminosity.
