Different Worlds is an exploration of differences – between countries, regions, people and cultures – and of the possibilities that can emerge when we choose to embrace them.
I created the painting by building the oil paint layer upon layer, working with both palette knives and brushes to create depth, texture and a feeling of the unknown.
The work carries a positive message: embrace our differences and recognise the strength they can bring. Instead of seeing differences as obstacles, we can choose to see opportunities – to meet, learn from one another and create something new.
