Where does everything begin?

Everything has an origin. Before growth, movement and transformation, there is a starting point – a source from which something begins to develop.

The Source of Life reflects on this idea of beginnings. Where does life start? Where does our own development begin? Everything we become has grown from something that existed before, even if its origin is not always visible to us.

The organic forms and flowing movement within the painting evoke water, energy and continuous transformation. I have worked with different shades of Klein blue, allowing depth, movement and subtle variations of blue to emerge across the canvas. Forms appear to connect and evolve, suggesting an ongoing movement from origin towards something new.

Rather than offering an answer, The Source of Life leaves the question open: if everything is constantly developing and changing, where was the very first beginning?
