Hera
Meet Hera!
Hera (Greek: Ἥρᾱ, Hērā; Ἥρη, Hērē in Ionic and Homeric Greek) is the goddess of women, marriage, family, and childbirth in ancient Greek religion and myth, one of the Twelve Olympians and the sister-wife of Zeus.
Hera rules over Mount Olympus as queen of the gods. A matronly figure, Hera served as both the patroness and protectress of married women, presiding over weddings and blessing marital unions.
In this artwork I have worked in ink, pencil and aquarelles with a special pearl-shimmering effect. Everything to depict the luster and deapth in the painting. The artwork is framed in black oak frame with a beautiful Passepartout.
Dimensions (the artwork itself, without frame and passepartout): 50,8 x 40,6 cm
