Artist Ewa Borin is releasing her digital series, SMOKE, in two versions. The series, as well as a number of oil paintings, are on display at Strandvägen 7A and at ewaborin.com from 12 September - 30 November.
Ewa’s artistry is multifaceted and she likes to experiment with various materials. She works in oil and creates digital paintings, but embraces other techniques as well, such as watercolours, and has created her own playful series, a naive interpretation of graffiti. Her paintings in the SMOKE series will be issued in a limited edition, signed and in plexiglas, Black and White (1–5) and Purple (1–5).
“When I create digitally I always try to make sure the painting will have the same illuminated feel as the image that appears on the screen. It’s a time-consuming creation process in which I experiment with different software to exceed my vision. In the SMOKE series I chose to ‘lock’ the paintings in plexiglas in order to leave the options open for different types of framing solutions. Plexiglas heightens the luminosity of the work,” says Ewa Borin.
SMOKE is available for purchase at Ewa’s online shop at ewaborin.com. It is also possible to book a viewing at Strandvägen 7A, tel. +46 (0)8 586 107 00.
