My Journey - Finding Your Inner Peace
Close your eyes for a moment.
Imagine a place where you feel completely at ease. A place where there is harmony and balance, where the noise around you becomes quieter and you simply feel good.
When I created My Journey, this was the thought I carried with me.
The journey in the painting is not necessarily about travelling somewhere in the physical world. It is about finding your own place within yourself — and being able to return there in your thoughts.
For each of us, that place will look different. It might be somewhere we have actually been: beside the sea, deep in a forest, in a familiar room or beneath an open sky. Or perhaps it is a place that exists only in our imagination.
What matters is the feeling it creates.
A sense of calm.
Of balance.
Of being exactly where you want to be.
My Journey grew from the idea that our imagination can take us there. Sometimes simply closing our eyes and visualising that place can create a moment of stillness in an otherwise busy world.
Perhaps the journey is not always about moving forward.
Sometimes it is about finding your way back to yourself.
